Announcing our new Director of Creative Services: Morayo Orija

We’re excited to announce that Morayo Orija has been promoted to Director of Creative Services of GoWP.

As Director of Creative Services, Morayo will marry her knowledge of the arts with business relationships. In her past experience, she has directed over 10 stage shows and co-founded a theatre company. Each time, she had to find and vet the right creatives who could support the vision of the production. She draws from that experience as she builds and nurtures the GoWP team of copywriters and designers.

Morayo has the superb ability to build a team and develop its members so that they are able to work directly with our agency partners. She’s an expert people person and we could think of no one better to lead this team.

What does this mean for GoWP?

With Morayo directing creative services, GoWP is better positioned to serve our agency partners in a deeper and more impactful way. We care about the happiness and success of our agency partners and each of our services are developed to empower them to grow. The leadership of those services is important because it sets the foundation for the delivery.

It wasn’t too terribly long ago that I joined GoWP. I saw instantly that our partners are open to really working with us. They value their relationships and growth with us. That was pretty astounding to me! They have goals they want to meet. There’s no doubt about that. It’s a real pleasure when we can help them meet and exceed those goals. – Morayo

About Morayo Orija

  • From: North Carolina
  • Current location: Chicago, IL
  • Current Status: Ecstatic member of the GoWP team — creating happiness each day.
  • Experience: I’ve been around arts services and institutions for a very long time. I created and ran Community Outreach and Arts Educator programs in Los Angeles and managed county arts and cultural grants programs in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve served multiple nonprofits and helped them achieve their mission through program management, grant-writing, and other development initiatives.
  • Fun Facts: The pandemic has been a harrowing and reflective time for all of us. Many people took chances never imagined pre-lockdown. Perhaps out of lockdown boredom, I reached out to one of my favorite tv actors whose skills and performances have taught me so much. I did not expect to hear back from him at all. I wrote solely to express my appreciation for his works (which, of course, I had plenty of time to view during the lockdown). He replied a few days later! We had conversations and he proved to be an amazing human being and professional. He became my acting coach and works with me to this day coaching and preparing me for big auditions when they come up.
